Weber-Christian Disease: Symptoms & Signs

Weber-Christian disease is an uncommon inflammatory disease of the fatty tissues of the body. The condition has also been called idiopathic lobular panniculitis (ILP) and relapsing febrile nodular panniculitis syndrome. A disease of unknown cause is referred to as idiopathic. While it can occur in people of all ages and sexes, it is most common in females 30-60 years of age.

Symptoms and signs of Weber-Christian disease include small skin lumps that manifest as red or purple tender, raised lumps usually found on the thighs and lower legs. Both sides of the body are usually affected. Other associated symptoms and signs can include
