To protect yourself from sepsis, the CDC recommends:
- Talking to your doctor about steps you can take to prevent infections.
- Taking good care of chronic conditions and getting recommended vaccines.

- Knowing the symptoms of sepsis.
- Acting quickly if you suspect sepsis.
