Health Tip: Get More Omega-3 Fatty Acids

(HealthDay News) -- Omega-3 fatty acids may improve your heart health and help you ward off heart disease.

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics suggests these sources:

  • Oils from soybeans, flaxseed and canola.
  • Walnuts or walnut oil.
  • Fatty fish, including salmon, mackerel, lake trout, sardines and albacore tuna (choose varieties packed in water).
  • Eggs labeled as containing omega-3 fatty acids.
