Medical Definition of Broca's area

After graduating from St. Louis University School of Medicine, he completed his Internal Medicine residency and Rheumatology fellowship at the University of California, Irvine. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.

Broca's area: An area of the cerebral motor cortex in the frontal lobe of the brain that is responsible for speech development. Damage to Broca's area can cause speech disorders, including apraxia and dyspraxia of speech.
