I tend to get several ovarian cysts at one time. Sometimes they rupture and this is very painful. What can I do to avoid getting them in the first place?
Doctor's response
Having multiple ruptured ovarian cysts must be difficult. Either oral contraceptive use (to stop ovulation), or menopause (when ovulation stops spontaneously) should stop ovarian cysts from forming in the first place. It might be that there is no simple answer to your question, especially if you have already been to see multiple doctors. In the absence of a clear answer, women sometimes have to go try treatments that are not yet well-researched. Consult your doctor about the best options for you.
