Not all women with PCOD are infertile.  Some women with PCOD occasionally ovulate, and even an occasional ovulation can lead to pregnancy.  If there is difficulty with spontaneous attempts at getting pregnancy, about 80% of women with PCOD respond well to oral ovulation induction therapy, a medication called clomiphene citrate.
