Niemann-Pick disease is genetic (inherited) disease referred to as lipid storage disease. Niemann-Pick disease is divided into four main types: A, B, C1, and C2. Niemann-Pick disease symptoms and signs include neurological conditions, ataxia, spasticity, increased sensitivity to being touched, and slurred speech.
