According to my readings, Clorox or any bleach is the worst thing to use on mold because the mold bursts on contact thus spreading it. The suggestion is to use vinegar and baking soda.

White vinegar safely gets rid of mold and mildew.

Use peroxide! It works! It kills the roots of the mold and is not as toxic as bleach. Awesome Orange Oxygen works well but does have a smell. Not as bad as bleach.
