When I have an intertrigo rash appear, I've used (Gold Bond) medicated powder with good results; washing and drying the area daily then reapplying the powder. I decided prevention would be a better way to go. I wash/dry the area and apply deodorant/antiperspirant daily. This has been effective for me.

Try a mixture of coconut oil and tea tree oil. The tea tree oil is the medicine, it is a fungicide and really soothes skin. The coconut oil provides lubrication and is a vehicle for the tea tree oil. I mix mine about 4:1 (coconut (4) to tea tree (1)). I too had tried everything for my intertrigo, and it all just made it worse. The moisturizing seems counter-intuitive, you want to dry it out, right? Wrong! Buy tea tree oil inexpensively at Walgreens.
