Neurofibromatosis, neurofibromas. Neurofibromatosis is a genetic disorder of the nervous system which causes tumors to form on your nerve tissues. It causes multiple patches of tan or light brown skin and soft, fleshy growths known as neurofibromas to grow on or under your skin.
