Hand-foot-and-mouth disease. Hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) is a common viral infection in children. Symptoms include fever, sores inside or around their mouth and a rash or blisters on their hands, feet, legs, and sometimes buttocks. Highly contagious, it can be painful, but it isn't serious.
