Cutis marmorata telangiectatica congenita, or CMTC is a rare disease that affects some newborn, causing a blue or purple pattern on the skin that looks marbled or like fishnet. It generally appears on the legs but can show up elsewhere on the body but clears ups as your child gets older. CMTC usually doesn't need treatment and gets better as your child gets older. In rare cases it may affect growth where it appears.
