Since it is taken off the market do you still use Propulsid in selected cases?

Dr. Marks:
I don't use Propulsid in patients with GERD because there are other medications that usually can control the reflux.

Dr. Lee:
Whereas you may use Propulsid for other motility problems and other problems in the intestines?

Dr. Marks:
Yes.

Dr. Lee:
In those situations you would use Propulsid provided there is no identifiable heart problem in the patient.

Dr. Marks:
Yes, though Reglan also is a reasonable alternative.
