What Is the Treatment for Esophageal Spasms?

I was diagnosed with the opposite problem of reflux, i.e., my esophagael pressure is extremely high causign chest pain; was given Isordil, 5 mg, 3 times a day; I want to know if this is a common med for this disorder?
