A leader in the area of hip and pelvic fractures and reconstruction, Mark Munro, MD, serves as an orthopedic surgeon with Orlando Regional Medical Center, a part of Orlando Health. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Munro's practice focuses on fracture fixation as well as hip and knee replacement. He offers minimally invasive surgeries, including a unique tissue sparing hip replacement. He is specially trained in the direct anterior approach hip replacement and has been performing these for several years. Dr. Munro authored journal publications, presented research and lectured nationally on fracture care. His research interests include evaluating new therapies for tibia fractures and hip fractures.
