Overview

An important part of being your physician is understanding who you are. That also means understanding how valuable your time is. My colleagues and I have developed My Doctor Online so you can e-mail me, check your lab results, make an appointment, access our many online programs or get information about a particular health topic – any time it’s convenient for you. Background I was born at Kaiser Permanente, and now I deliver babies at Kaiser Permanente. I suppose you could say that I have come “full circle.” I chose Kaiser because I am interested in medicine, not business; patients, not pharmaceutical representatives. I would rather spend my time with you, than with your insurance carrier. OB/GYN is a great field. It is one of the only specialties where I can regularly say, "Congratulations!" It also has a lot of variety. In the same day, I can perform a hysterectomy, deliver a baby, and cure incontinence. I can teach you about a new diagnosis, comfort a worried loved one, or even just make you laugh when you're getting a pap smear. That's what makes my job rewarding. I am most interested in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and family planning services. As a recent graduate, I am up to date on the latest research in obstetrics and gynecology. I will use this knowledge to help you make informed health care choices. Roles and Responsibilities I also serve as the quality liaison for the department of OB/GYN here at Santa Rosa. I am committed to ensuring you the best quality care, and provide monthly educational updates for the other providers in my department. My Staff My medical assistant is essential to my practice. She schedules appointments, assists me in the exam room, and coordinates much of your care. My Colleagues Austin Kooba is my practice partner. We think very much alike, and I trust him to take excellent care of my patients. When I am out of the office, he will handle your test results and respond to your messages, just as I would.
