Following her undergraduate work, she earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Spartanburg, South Carolina. While there, she served as the Vice President of the Student Government Association, organized the Spartanburg?s first annual National Osteopathic Medicine week, and helped develop a leadership workshop for fellow students. She describes her care philosophy as one where she serves her patients by providing individualized compassionate care through evidence-based medicine and shared decision making. | Dr. Register has extensive Ob/Gyn research experience, including recent studies of caesarian sections in obese women and a comparison of different drug regimens to induce labor. In addition, she is an active member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and volunteers her time at free medical clinics and children?s wellness fairs, working to raise healthcare awareness overall through education in the community. | When not caring for patients, Dr. Register enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and two dogs. They enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and mountain biking, as well as traveling. She is pleased to be part of the LewisGale Physicians and Virginia Women?s Health team and is welcoming new patients and referrals.
