He moved to Melbourne from Atlanta, Georgia after completing Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Grady Memorial Hospital & Morehouse School of Medicine in 1996. He became Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1996, and Re-certified in 2006. He has developed interest in treating cardiovascular diseases and diabetes, and obtained the Heart/Stroke Certificate of Recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance Association. He also obtained the Diabetes Physician Recognition Program from the same National Committee for Quality Assurance. Physicians who achieve DPRP Recognition show their peers, patients and others in the Diabetes community that they are part of an elite group that is publicly recognized for its skill in providing the highest-level diabetes care. He is on staff at Holmes Regional Medical Center, and is the current Chairman of the Department of Medicine, and member of the P&T committee. He is also a medical director at Consulate Nursing Home. He is licensed in the state of Florida, and in the State of Utah. He also serves as an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Central Florida. Dr. Sang joined MIMA in 1998, and is currently Chairman of the Internal Medicine Department at MIMA. His practice focuses in primary and preventive care, and on treatment of conditions like diabetes, hyperlipidemia, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Dr. Sang initially is originally from the Dominican Republic, graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra in 1988, eventually moving to the United States in 1992. In addition to work, he enjoys traveling, and doing Missionary work. Last year, he went on a Mission trip to Nicaragua. Interests / hobbies: soccer, outdoor activities, fishing, and general aviation. He is fluent in Spanish, and is a former Vice-President and Co-Founder of the Hispanic American Medical Association. Dr. Sang is accepting new patients into his practice.
