Overview

Dr. Sherman is a native of Louisiana and received his Bachelor's and Medical Degree from Louisiana State University. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at LSU in New Orleans and was the recipient of numerous awards including the Resident of the Year award as a Chief Resident. He was fellowship trained in Adult Reconstruction at Harvard focusing on hip and knee replacements, including primary procedures and complex revision cases. His interests include advanced hip reconstruction, hip resurfacing, partial knee replacements, primary total hip & knee replacements, revision knee arthroplasty, and knee realignment surgery involving arthritis. He performs all aspects of hip reconstruction utilizing multiple approaches including the anterior hip approach. This diverse expertise allows for personal customization of each surgery depending on individual patient needs. He also practices general orthopedics including hand surgery, sports medicine, and orthopedic trauma.
