Overview

Dr. Hoover is a highly trained Interventional Cardiologist. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Stanford University. He was awarded his Doctorate of Medicine from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. After returning to San Francisco for his Residency in Internal Medicine, he completed a Fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at the University of Arizona. He joined the University of Arizona and Southern Arizona VA Medical Center as a faculty member before going into private practice. his academic background, he has 15 years of private practice experience in Tucson prior to joining the Carondelet Heart and Vascular Institute. Dr. Hoover is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases. While he practices General Cardiology, his focus is on the application of new technologies in Interventional Cardiology to improve patient outcomes. When he??s not practicing Cardiology, Dr. Hoover tries to keep up with his two boys. He is an avid chef, but admits that he probably eats more than he cooks. He believes in exercise as therapy, and he tries to practice what he preaches by cycling, hiking or any number of other activities. Dr. Hoover brings a wealth of experience to the Carondelet Heart and Vascular Institute Team with over 20 years of experience practicing cutting edge Interventional Cardiology in Tucson.
