Overview

After my fellowship, I developed my private practice (children and adults) and contracted with Orange County Mental Health. In working with group home, residential treatment center, and foster/adopt children, I was exposed to severely emotionally children with genetic vulnerabilities, drug exposure in utero, and traum from abuse and neglect. This work lended itself to becoming specialized in treating Reactive Attachment Disorder and working with sensory challenged children. Attachment issues and sensory concerns are both poorly understood and undertreated; aspects of both can frequently be found in difficult-to-treat cases for both children and adults. Many times one or both of these issues are the missing link productive treatment.
