Internal medicine specialist Richard Barnhart, MD, joined PeaceHealth Medical Group’s hospitalist service at Sacred Heart in 2007. Prior to becoming a hospitalist, Dr. Barnhart was in a private internal medicine practice in Springfield for more than 20 years. His varied background includes service in the U.S. Marine Corps and the Indian Health Service and a six month locum tenens position as a medical consultant in New Zealand.
