Overview

The practice of Obstetrics and Gynecology encompasses all aspects of medicine that I enjoy. I work with women of all ages and am given the opportunity to educate them about health and reproductive concerns. While the specialty concentrates on womens health, it also incorporates internal medicine and surgical skills. One of the most rewarding experiences is to take a woman through the infertility process, care for her during the subsequent pregnancy, and be there for the birth of her child. Getting to know patients over time allows me to help them maintain their autonomy during medical interactions and to guide them toward decisions in their healthcare that will be comfortable for them. Over the years, I have devoted many hours to quality improvement initiatives and medical leadership roles at Bristol Hospital. Participating in hospital operations gives physicians a powerful voice in patient care and a different perspective outside of private practice. Away from the practice of medicine, I enjoy traveling with my four children and being a soccer mom on the weekends.
