Overview

A native of Johnson City, Tennessee, Dr. Bailey earned his M.D. from East Tennessee State University’s James H. Quillen College of Medicine in 1987. He completed his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at University of Alabama-Birmingham Hospitals in 1990. Dr. Bailey served as a staff physician at Huntsville Hospital, 1990-1991. He completed his Cardiology Fellowship in 1994 at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1994, Dr. Bailey established cardiac care on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, performing invasive Non-Interventional Cardiology at the Kauai Medical Clinic in Lihue. While there, he performed Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization, Permanent Pacemaker Implantation, Consultative and Critical Care Cardiovascular Services and Echocardiography. Dr. Bailey established a medical directorship of Cardiac Rehabilitation services, pharmacologic and stress echocardiography services, intra-aortic balloon pump services and a permanent pacemaker and devices clinic. Dr. Bailey is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Adult Cardiovascular Medicine and is a member of the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Bailey is a Rotary Club member and a Paul Harris Fellow, Rotary International. He is a Past President of a local American Heart Association and has served as Director of Heart Walk in Kauai. He has been married for over 25 years and has two children.
