Overview

Dr. Schulz is a native of Great Bend, Kansas and is a graduate of Newman University and Kansas School of Medicine Wichita. He completed his residency in internal medicine also at the University of Kansas School of Medicine Wichita, followed by two years as an academic general internist at KU. He recently completed a Fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the University of Colorado. While there, he was named Chief Fellow in Medical Oncology and was the recipient of a Susan G. Komen grant to study breast cancer in the Latina population. In July 2000, Dr. Schulz moved to Wichita where he holds a joint appointment with the Cancer Center of Kansas and the University of Kansas School of Medicine Wichita. He practices hematology and medical oncology as well as being an Assistant Professor of Medicine, teaching medical residents and students. Dr. Schulz has previously earned the Faculty Teaching Award and the Resident Teaching Award at the University of Kansas School of Medicine Wichita. He is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and is board eligible in hematology. Since joining the Cancer Center of Kansas, Dr. Schulz has made significant contributions to our high quality patient care and clinical cancer research efforts.
