Karen Gilliam Raiford , MD

Overview

Dr. Raiford joined the practice in January of 2008. Her specialization includes routine and high-risk obstetrics, pelvic reconstruction, laparoscopic and robotic-assisted gynecological surgery. She is ABOG/ACOG Board Certified and is a member of the ACOG/AMA. Doctor Raiford is originally from North Carolina, she earned her B.S. from Wake Forest University and her M.D. from East Carolina University School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency at Medical College of Virginia-Virginia Commonwealth University. She has been in private practice for 10 years. She practiced in rural North Carolina for two years and joins us most recently from Decatur, Alabama. She brought robotic surgery to the group and has been active in robot surgery since 2007.
