Overview

After earning her medical degree from East Carolina University School of Medicine, Dr. Barbara Rowland completed her residency at Medical University of South Carolina. She is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Rowland enjoys practicing obstetrics and gynecology because of the variety of patients and problems she treats. She enjoys seeing women of all ages, but particularly enjoys seeing pediatric/adolescent/teen patients, women with difficulties getting pregnant and perimenopausal women. Dr. Rowland performs a variety of surgeries including minimally invasive surgeries such as laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures. She particularly enjoys vaginal surgeries (i.e. vaginal hysterectomies). She welcomes new patients. Dr. Rowland is married and has two children.
