Overview

I was born in Vicksburg, MS. I attended Millaps College where I obtained my BS in Biology in 1996. I then earned a MS in Cell Biology from Mississippi State University in 1999. I subsequently moved to Jackson and worked as a Research Assistant in the Anatomy Department until I returned to medical school. I attended medical school at UMC and graduated with honors and was inducted into AOA. My post medical school training to include my residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Hematology and Oncology were also at UMC. I am married to my husband, JJ, and we have one son Tate who is 6. I enjoy cooking and spending time with my family.
