Carol Marie Kaminskas , MD

Overview

Dr. Kaminskas, who believes in making decisions together with her patients in a team approach to obstetrical and gynecological care, has been in private practice in Laguna Hills since 1989. She chose obstetrics and gynecology because of its full continuity of care from knowing patients from adolescent to college, from reproductive to menopausal years. She also enjoys obstetrics and gynecology because of the multifaceted surgical component. Dr. Kaminskas also supports Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC). A graduate of Northwestern Medical School in Chicago, IL, where she also played on its national championship Rugby team, Dr. Kaminskas completed her postgraduate training at the University of California at Irvine Medical Center in Orange. A Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists, Dr. Kaminskas has a professional affiliation with the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. Past Chairman of Saddleback Memorial's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Kaminskas also has served on the medical center's Credentialing and Women's and Children's Case Review Committees. An active mother of three boys who still finds time to run three to four times a week, Dr. Kaminskas lives in Laguna Niguel. She says she "couldn't do it" without the support of her husband, Jay.
