Barbara G. Assel, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist in Maternal-Fetal Medicine with an extensive background in reproductive biology and strong interest in prenatal diagnosis including Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS). Dr. Assel is an accomplished educator and physician, having spent the majority of her career in faculty roles within the OB/GYN departments of large academic institutions. Over the last 15 years, she has served as Medical Director at the Fairview Ridges Perinatal Clinic in Burnsville, Minnesota, and the Southwest Perinatal Clinic in Edina, Minnesota.
