Overview

Graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science in 1986. He received his doctorate of Medicine and subsequently completed a four-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of South Florida. He then completed a three-year subspecialty fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL. Dr. Arango is a board certified diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology with advanced subspecialty certification in gynecologic oncology. He is a National Cancer Institute (NCI) Clinical Investigator who has had experience coordinating Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG) clinical trials as well as other clinical trials. He has also published and continues to publish several articles in peer-reviewed journals and books on gynecologic oncology. Dr. Arango is a Fellow of both the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, The Society of Gynecologic Oncologists, The Florida Society of Gynecologic Oncologists, the International Gynecologic Cancer Society, as well as local medical societies.
