Dr. Bona completed his residency at Brown University and his fellowship at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Robert Bona, a veteran Hematologist, is returning to Saint Francis Hospital after a 15 year hiatus to see patients in the hospitals Cancer Center. He is a long time resident of the Hartford area, and current Professor of Medical Sciences and founding faculty member of the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University. He is a graduate of SUNY Upstate Medical College in Syracuse New York and is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology. Previously at the University of Connecticut Health Center for fifteen years, he was honored with teaching accolades and was the hematology-oncology fellowship program director.
