I read that having pneumonia prior to vaccination was the cause of my bronchiectasis. I had it 2 or 3 times before I was a year old.

Patient had pink disease as an infant and was diagnosed with Young's syndrome in 1980s, as well as bronchiectasis. He had lower lung removed in late 1980s. I think all illnesses add up. Medication was working well till stopped by consultant, ipratropium bromide; he is now on mucodine, not so good.

I wonder if bronchiectasis can be caused from being on a ventilator for months and being aspirated with breathing tubes.
