Can you tell me why when I take aspirin that it makes my stomach hurt so bad, I have an ulcer and I was wondering if that is why it makes me hurt when I take aspirin

Aspirin is one of the more common causes of ulcers, and anyone with peptic ulcer disease should not be taking aspirin except in unusual circumstances and under careful medical supervision. Tylenol or any of the other acetaminophen products are safe for patients with ulcers.
