I never had UTI until I became sexually active, so this leads me to believe your partner may need to maintain his/her hygiene better. When I married the second time I only experience UTI twice in my 7 year relationship with my current husband, where as I had more with my first and we were in a relationship 6 years. I have that annoying pressure like I have to urinate constantly. Even after "voiding" the feeling is still there. Usually drinking lots of cranberry juice helps my UTI; it just takes awhile. Was this comment helpful?Yes

I know it's mostly women who get UTI's but I am a 57 year old male and get them frequently. Antibiotics have knocked them out each time. I do have an enlarged prostate and I think that's the biggest cause. Was this comment helpful?Yes

I had my first UTI in my 40's - hot day outside activity - not frequent elimination or drinking fluids. Over a weekend, no docs available - So painful and bleeding occurred. Drank a gallon of cranberry juice and water. By Monday when I saw a doctor the symptoms were gone. Since age 70 I have an episode at least once a year and since age 75 it is getting to be 2-3 times a year. I struggle to drink a lot of water; have an urgency problem and if out probably don't drink enough fluid and don't take time to wait for extra drop of elimination. Symptoms are more urgency than usual; sometimes only a few drops on elimination; painful elimination - burning. No bleeding since my first UTI at 40. Urinating makes me shudder all the way to my neck. I have been diagnosed with diabetes II. Was this comment helpful?Yes

A catheter was put in my husband (either before or after fractured hip surgery. He was sitting in a chair with the drain tube folded under him. There were IV fluids going into him. His testicles and other parts of his body were holding the fluids. He has been in rehab for more than three weeks. The nurse says they cannot remove the catheter because they might not get it back in. I am worried about this. Was this comment helpful?Yes

I just have pressure right now since Saturday morning. My stomach is bloated and my bladder feels full but isn't. It has been 2 days already since 12/17. My urine hasn't burned or been cloudy but I'm scared because the last time i got an UTI was 30 years ago. Maybe someone can help. I am 56 years old.
