How was the diagnosis of your tuberculosis established?

I had TB of lungs 6 years ago. I successfully finished the nine month medication and went back to my normal life. I had a swollen lymph node. After a biopsy, I was told that I had TB of the lymph node. I then developed a swelling inside the scrotum and I was told that it is part of the TB symptoms.

Until the age of eleven, I had recurring fevers that lasted for about three days an episode, accompanied by heavy breathing and cough, but no aches and pains. The mystery fevers are in exile now, hopefully they will be forever. My doctor's prognosis was TB, and I was put on antibiotics for many months until I got better. I don't remember if I had any confirmation tests done.
