GENERIC NAME: TIAPROFENIC ACID - ORAL SUSTAINED ACTION PELLETS IN CAPSULE (tie-uh-pro-FEN-ick)Medication Uses | How To Use | Side Effects | Precautions | Drug Interactions | Overdose | Notes | Missed Dose | Storage USES: This medication is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It relieves pain and swelling. It is used in the treatment of arthritis. HOW TO USE: Take this medication by mouth with food or immediately after a meal as directed. Take this medication with 6 to 8 ounces (180-240ml) of water. Do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking this drug. Swallow the sustained-release capsules whole with a full glass of water. Do not crush or chew them or the sustained action will be destroyed and the risk of side effects may be increased. Take this medication exactly as prescribed. Do not increase the dose, take this more often or take this for longer than prescribed.
