How does Serrapeptase work?

Serrapeptase helps the body break down protein. This might help decrease inflammation and mucous.

Are there safety concerns?

Serrapeptase seems to be safe for adults when taken by mouth, short-term. The long-term safety of serrapeptase is not known.

Do not use serrapeptase if:
  • You are pregnant or breast-feeding.
  • Have a bleeding disorder.
  • You are scheduled for surgery in the next two weeks. Serrapeptase might increase the risk of bleeding.
