Within 24 hours of a colposcopy, due to an abnormal Pap smear, I was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis. This came as a surprise to me because I did not have any symptoms. This is the second time I've been diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis; the last time I was diagnosed was at my last colposcopy about five years ago. Both times I've been prescribed a seven day course of antibiotics. At both times of these diagnoses I've been married to the same sexual partner; no others.

I suffered from an extreme amount of discharge on a daily. I started wearing liners but I eventually went to the doctor to tell her my problems, she told me I had bacterial vaginosis and to take the pills. I am currently doing so but I have seen more discharge and my urine is brown. I am hoping after I finish my pills this will all go away.
