Robert Ferry Jr.,MD
Dr. Robert Ferry Jr., MD, is a U.S. board-certified Pediatric Endocrinologist (http://myprofile.cos.com/rferry). After taking his baccalaureate degree from Yale College, then receiving his doctoral degree and residency training in pediatrics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA), Dr. Ferry completed fellowship training in pediatric endocrinology at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He works full-time on the medical school faculty for the Tennessee Health Science Center at Memphis. He also serves as medical director for the endocrinology department at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital (Memphis, TN). Dr. Ferry's research program, focused on diabetes and pediatric growth disorders, has been funded continuously by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other major sponsors since 1998. An active member of the Endocrine Society and other professional organizations, Dr. Ferry is a dynamic speaker who has presented in national forums at the invitation of the NIH, U.S. Department of Defense, State of Texas, Iraqi Ministry of Health, and countless community groups. A veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Dr. Ferry holds a reserve commission as colonel in the Army National Guard of the U.S. He previously served full-time on the medical school faculty for The University of California at Los Angeles and UTHSCSA.
