ROBERT FERRY JR., MD

Robert Ferry Jr., MD, is a U.S. board-certified Pediatric Endocrinologist (http://myprofile.cos.com/rferry). After taking his baccalaureate degree from Yale College, receiving his doctoral degree and residency training in pediatrics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA), he completed fellowship training in pediatric endocrinology at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He previously served full-time on the medical school faculty for The University of California at Los Angeles and UTHSCSA.

Since May 2008, he has worked full-time as chief of pediatric endocrinology in the College of Medicine at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center and as medical director for endocrine services at Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis. Bob's research focuses on diabetes and cancer and has been funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other major sponsors. An active member of The Endocrine Society and other professional organizations, Dr. Ferry is a dynamic speaker who has presented at the invitation of the NIH, U.S. Department of Defense, State of Texas, Iraqi Ministry of Health, and countless community groups. A veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom-III, Bob holds a reserve commission as a physician in the Army National Guard. In his spare time, he writes, sings, and works on model trains.
