"Heart bypass surgery or coronary artery bypass grafting is a method to deliver oxygen to heart muscle that is not receiving an adequate supply of oxygen through the bloodstream.  The reason that the heart muscle is not receiving adequate blood circulation is because the heart arteries, the arteries that supply blood to the heart (known as coronary arteries), are limited by the buildup of cholesterol plaque in the internal wall of the blood vessels.  So, what this leads to..."
