ANDREW VERNEUIL, M.D.

Doctor Verneuil grew up in Orange County and played high school water polo. He attended UCLA for his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. Doctor Verneuil graduated from Mayo Medical School. He completed six years of Internship and Residency training in head and neck surgery at UCLA. While at Mayo Medical School and UCLA's School of Medicine, Doctor Verneuil completed research projects in the basic physiology of the vocal cords during phonation. He also participated in research investigating treatments for vocal cord paralysis. During his residency training, Doctor Verneuil studied laryngology and voice disorders with Doctor Gerald Berke, Chief of Head and Neck Surgery at UCLA. Part of this training was dedicated to vocal cord surgery, vocal cord injection techniques for collagen and Botox, vocal cord reinnervation procedures and treatments for spasmodic dysphonia. Doctor Verneuil is Board Certified with the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is in private practice in Mission Viejo, California. Doctor Verneuil practices general otolaryngology, but also has a specialty interest in voice dysfunction/laryngology, head and neck oncology, pediatric otolaryngology and sleep disorders.
