I have just been diagnosed with mesenteric cyst on cecum. Can you please tell me
something about this condition, and is there treatment for the painful
condition. Is surgery an option?
Doctors' Answer
Mesenteric cysts are rare, fluid filled sacs attached to the
mesentery, the tissue from which the
intestines "hang." The cysts may be quite large, and the primary symptoms are
abdominal pain and abdominal distention. The treatment usually is surgical removal.
Thank you for your question.
