10 Things You Need for Marketplace Enrollment

Oct. 4, 2013 -- Are you waiting to get access to the new health insurance Marketplaces created by the Affordable Care Act? Since launching Oct. 1, the federal and state web sites that offer the plans have been overwhelmed by users, and many people have not been able to create accounts or get information.

If you're one of them, there are steps you can take to get ready while you're waiting to get online. Keep in mind that you don't have to do everything right away. Open enrollment lasts until March 31, 2014. If you want your coverage to start Jan. 1, 2014, you must sign up by Dec. 15 of this year.
