(HealthDay News) -- Babies often swallow too much air while eating or drinking, leading to uncomfortable gas.

The University of Michigan Health System says common causes of gas in babies also include:

  • Swallowing too much air while crying.
  • Giving your baby too much juice.
  • Giving your baby cow's milk before age 1, or cereal before age 4 months.
