A report from the nation's leading cancer organizations shows that rates of new diagnoses and rates of death from all cancers combined declined significantly in the most recent time period for men and women overall and for most racial and ethnic populations in the United States.

Estimated new cases and deaths from cancer in the United States in 2010:

• New cases: 1,529,560 (does not include nonmelanoma skin cancers)
