Diet Guidelines: 10 - 15 Years of Age
Nutrition for school-aged children should promote growth, meet energy needs and nutrient needs without promoting over consumption of fat. During the school years children will experience increased opportunities to make choices about their food intakes. Parents can help children make healthy food choices by planning family meal times, keeping a variety of foods and setting good examples of healthy eating.
