Diet Guidelines: 18 Months - 3 Years

This diet follows the basic four food groups and provides foods that are well tolerated by children. The child's diet should have variety in food texture, color, and smell. The use of caffeine should be avoided, as should excessive use of salt, fat, and sucrose. After 2 years of age, lowfat milk is recommended.
