Pycnodysostosis (pyknodysostosis) is an inherited disease of the bone. Characteristics of individuals with pycnodysostosis are:

  • short stature,
  • brittle bones,
  • short fingers,
  • the midface is less full than usual,
  • a prominent nose,
  • small jaw, and more.
There is no cure for pycnodysostosis.
