Procainamide (Pronestyl, Procan-SR, Procanbid) (These brands no longer are available in the U.S.) is an antiarrhythmic drug prescribed for the treatment of abnormal heart rhythms such as tachycardias, atrial fibrillation and flutter, ventricular tachycardia, and premature atrial and ventricle heart beats.
